Varberg Energi is an energy company based in Varberg, Sweden. With their app, you can easily track your electricity usage and gain better control over energy costs. You can also monitor your charging station, solar panel production, and other flex-compatible products.

Varberg Energi was planning to launch a real-time energy tracker, and I was tasked with creating mid-fi wireframes illustrating how it would be visualized in their app. There were two distinct aspects to be addressed:

Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to locate users and conduct interviews. Since this was my first time in the electrical industry, it was challenging to determine whether the information I gathered for the real-time visualization was sufficient or if something was missing.
Lessons learned
I was advised to use Facebook groups and pose questions there, which turned out to be quite insightful, especially regarding various apps from other companies. I gained valuable information on what users felt was missing or good about their current app. The lesson learned was that sometimes users are closer than one might think, and there are multiple resources available to tap into.
